Teen Pronounced Deceased at Hospital After Going Underwater While Swimming at Lake Arrowhead

VICTIM(S): 18-year-old Male (Name release pending next of kin notification.)
SUMMARY: On Tuesday, July 8, 2025, Twin Peaks station deputies, San Bernardino County Fire Department personnel, and Arrowhead Lake Association patrol boats responded to a possible drowning in Lake Arrowhead. After deputies arrived, they determined an 18-year-old male swam with family in the North Bay of Lake Arrowhead when a family member saw the male submerged underwater and failed to resurface.
With the assistance of the Sheriff’s Dive Team members, the male was recovered and lifesaving measures were immediately initiated. He was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.
