INCIDENT: PC 261(A)(1): RAPE
LOCATION: Unincorporated area of Oro Grande
SUSPECT(S): Ardy Vance Thompson, 50 years of age, resident of Victorville
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY:
On Tuesday, June 24, 2025, a 16-year-old female was picked up by a male adult, later identified as Ardy Vance Thompson, in a dark gray 2009 Hyundai Accent, two door hatchback. The victim was given marijuana and driven out to a deserted area west of National Trails Highway in the unincorporated area of Oro Grande where Thompson sexually assaulted the victim.
Thompson was not known to the victim and with the help of video surveillance gathered by Detective Z. Vogel, the suspect's identity was discovered. A warrant was submitted by Deputy R. Morales from the Victor Valley Detective Bureau.
On Sunday, June 28, 2025, the Colton Police Department located and arrested Thompson and transported him to the West Valley Detention Center where he is being held on a $500,000 bond for PC261(A)(2) Rape.
Thompson is currently listed on California’s Megan’s Law website as a violent sex offender. It is believed there may be other victims of Thomspon and investigators are releasing a photo of Thompson and his vehicle.
