INCIDENT: HS11378- Possession of a Controlled Substance for Sale
HS11379-Transportation of a Controlled Substance
LOCATION: Hellman Ave / Pepper Street, Rancho Cucamonga
SUSPECT(S): Bobby Joseph Holt, Age 42, resident of Los Angeles
VICTIM(S): State of California
SUMMARY: On Monday, June 30, 2025, at approximately 1:39 p.m., deputies from the Rancho Cucamonga Station were conducting proactive patrol and attempted to conduct a bike check on a male subject operating an electric bike.
During the investigation, deputies contacted the male, later identified as Bobby Joseph Holt. Holt provided deputies with a false name. As the deputy exited his vehicle to recontact Holt, he fled on his electric bike. He rode through a parking lot, circled back and collided into the rear end of the deputies' marked patrol unit. Holt ran, but was ultimately detained a short distance away. Deputies recovered Holt’s backpack that he threw during the foot pursuit. The backpack contained a large amount of suspected methamphetamine, packaged in individual baggies, and a scale.
Holt is currently on active probation for PC69- Resisting an Executive Officer and HS11379.5(B)(1)- Possession of a Controlled Substance with Two or more Priors. He was taken to a local hospital for evaluation, then booked at West Valley Detention Center on charges of HS11378-Possession of a Controlled Substance for Sale, and HS11379-Transportation of a Controlled Substance. The electric bike was towed and stored for safekeeping.
