In the early morning hours of Tuesday June 24, 2025, a Simi Valley Police Officer proactively patrolling the city observed an equipment violation on a vehicle in the area of Erringer Rd and SR118. Subsequently that Officer continued to follow the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle, which was occupied by two adult subjects. Upon contacting the occupants, the Officer immediately noted suspicious behavior and conducted further investigation at which point the Officer discovered narcotics paraphernalia and a loaded firearm concealed on the driver’s person. Ultimately, the driver, a 42 year old resident of Los Angeles, and the passenger, a 29 year old resident of Los Angeles, were arrested and booked at Ventura County Jail for warrants, and various charges related to the handgun and narcotics.
