INCIDENT: PC 187 - Murder
LOCATION: 9000 block of Santa Fe Avenue, Hesperia
SUSPECT(S): Jose Antonio Ramirez, 41-years-old, resident of Hesperia
VICTIM1: Jasmine Keohi, 24-years-old, resident of Hesperia
VICTIM2: Confidential Adult Male
SUMMARY:
On Monday, June 23, 2025, at 12:59 a.m., deputies responded to a residence in Hesperia for a report of shots fired. When deputies arrived, they located Jasmine Keohi on the sidewalk near the residence. Keohi had been shot and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Through further investigation, deputies learned the suspect, later identified as Jose Antonio Ramirez, also shot at a second victim.
The Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division – Homicide Detail responded and assumed the investigation.
After the shooting, Ramirez fled the area and was later located in a nearby apartment complex by the Sheriff’s Specialized Enforcement Division (SWAT) and taken into custody. He was booked in at the High Desert Detention Center where he remains in custody.
