The DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) would like to inform the community of the following adjustments to indoor pool operations with the close of the DC Public Schools (DCPS):
- Marie Reed Aquatic Center (2200 Champlain Street, NW) will be open during the day, from 6 am to 9 pm, Monday through Friday, starting Friday, June 20.
- Roosevelt Aquatic Center (4301 13th Street, NW) will close for the summer on Wednesday, June 18.
- Dunbar Aquatic Center (101 N Street, NW) will close for the summer on Wednesday, June 18.
- Ballou Aquatic Center (3401 4th Street, SE) will close for the summer on Wednesday, June 18.
As an alternative, residents are encouraged to take advantage of one of the 31 indoor and outdoor pools that DPR will operate this summer.
Outdoor pools will begin weekday operations on Monday, June 23, operating six days a week on individual schedules. To view the operating hours for each outdoor pool, visit dpr.dc.gov/outdoorpools.
