It was a banner year for our city in 2024. After years of patiently waiting, West Calumet residents saw the dream of new homes materialize in their neighborhood. New businesses arrived in rapid succession to meet the wants and needs of the community. We blazed trails. Working together, we realized much more than we could have done alone. Oh, and did I forget to mention? We signed a collegiate baseball team that will play at Block Stadium beginning this June. It’s an exciting time to be living in East Chicago!
