Shooting in Homewood – N. Braddock Avenue

On Friday, February 12, 2010 at 2:45AM, multiple Zone 5 units responded to the 500 block of N. Braddock in Homewood for a report of two males shot at that location.

Upon arrival, officers observed (victim #1) one male lying in front of 515 N. Braddock with multiple gun shot wounds to the upper torso and (victim #2) another male sitting in the snow bank near 515 N. Braddock with a gun shot wound to the left foot.

Medics transported both victims to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. Victim #1 was transported in critical condition and today remains in guarded condition.

A description was dispatched of the suspect involved in the shooting. The shooter was described as a black male, light skinned with long braids wearing a red hoody sweatshirt and black pants.

Units check the surrounding areas which met with negative results.

Victim #1 is identified as a black male, 37yo from Pittsburgh 15132. Victim #2 is identified as a black male, 21yo from Homewood.
