#LASD Suspect Arrested for False Imprisonment & Criminal Threats – Seeking Additional Victims #SanDimas#MtBaldy

Detectives with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department – San Dimas Station are investigating two separate incidents involving Patrick Flinn.

On January 12, 2025, Mr. Flinn, while in possession of a sledgehammer, harassed and threatened to harm five hikers. The hikers quickly ran away and contacted police. On May 16, 2025, Mr. Flinn confronted and harassed a lone female who was walking along a hiking trail. During the confrontation, Mr. Flinn waved a large tree branch and did not allow the female to continue walking on her path. After several minutes, the suspect became distracted, which allowed the victim an opportunity to escape. Deputies quickly responded to the scene and arrested Mr. Flinn, under booking number 7024318.

On May 20, 2025, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office filed five felony counts of Criminal Threats (422 PC) and one felony count of False Imprisonment by Violence (236 PC).

Mr. Flinn is scheduled for an arraignment hearing on June 2, 2025, at West Covina Courthouse.  Mr. Flinn is in custody and his bail is set at $295,000.00.
