Deputies responded to the 8000 block of Telegraph Road in the city of Pico Rivera just after 6:00 am in response to a 9-1-1 call of a person down who was unresponsive. Los Angeles County Fire Department responded and pronounced the victim, a male Hispanic, in his late 60s, deceased at the scene.
A person of interest, a male Hispanic in his 40s, who resides at the location, was detained at the onset of the investigation. During the investigation, probable cause was established, and the individual detained was placed under arrest.
The suspect was booked at the Pico Rivera Sheriff’s Station for murder with a $2,000,000 bail.
The case will be submitted to the District Attorney’s Office for their consideration of filing formal charges against the suspect.
