INCIDENT: Assault with a Weapon
LOCATION: 18000 block of 10th Street, Bloomington
18000 block of 6th Street, Bloomington
VICTIM: Adult Female
SUSPECT: Brock Bright, a 42-year-old male resident of Bloomington
SUMMARY: On Sunday, May 18, 2025, at about 8:40 a.m., Fontana deputies responded to a theft which just occurred in the 18000 block of 10th Street, unincorporated Bloomington. It was reported Brock Bright, a 42-year-old male resident of Bloomington, stole someone’s wallet and fled. Bright was reported to be under the influence of Phencyclidine (PCP), described as having a large build, and walking around the area.
Around 9:00 a.m., deputies received an additional call of a nude male holding a metal object in the 18000 block of 6th Street, unincorporated Bloomington. The first arriving deputy learned Bright removed his clothing and stole a metal object. Bright swung the metal object at an adult female, narrowly missing her. Bright fled and put his clothing back on.
Around 9:06 a.m., deputies located Bright in a nearby residential neighborhood. He refused to stop, fleeing from deputies and attempting to forcibly enter the front yard of an occupied residence. When deputies made contact with Bright he initially refused to cooperate. Deputies soon gained complance and Bright was arrested and booked into jail for assault with a weapon. The metal object was recovered.
