The Green Bay Police Department continues to investigate the death of an adult female whose body was recently recovered from the Fox River; however, at this time, there is no evidence to indicate that foul play was involved.
Police spoke with the next-of-kin and can release that person is Elisabeth Babcock, 47, of Hobart.
On Friday, May 9, 2025, police were dispatched at approximately 12:00 p.m. to an area near the 100 block of Bay Beach Road following the report of a passerby who found a body in the water. The body was removed from the water a short time after police arrived.
Green Bay Metro Fire assisted police on scene.
