Who: The U.S. Department of the Interior Bureau of Land Management’s Ridgecrest Regional Wild Horse and Burro Corrals, in collaboration with Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Mounted Enforcement Detail (LASD MED), are offering horses and burros for adoption.
What: Join the 2nd Annual Wild Horse and Burro Adoption Event located at the home of the LASD Mounted Enforcement Detail and training area. After a successful first day, 17 animals remain available for adoption with an adoption fee of $125.
When: Saturday May 10, 2025, at 8:00 A.M. – 4:00 P.M.
Note: Adoptions are by a first come, first serve basis. Applications are approved on-site.

- Animals must be picked up by 4 P.M. on May 10th, unless adopters have made prior arrangements with Bureau of Land Management staff.
