On April 15, 2025, at approximately 7:40 p.m., Fremont Police Department Officers were dispatched to the area of Mission Boulevard and Mohave Drive to the report of a major injury collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian. Fremont PD and Fremont Fire Department arrived on scene to render aid to the injured pedestrian. Fremont Fire Department attempted life-saving measures prior to the pedestrian being transported to an area hospital for further medical treatment. Unfortunately, the pedestrian succumbed to their injuries on April 25, 2025.
The Fremont Police Department Traffic Investigations Unit assumed the collision investigation. Based on the preliminary investigation, the vehicle was traveling westbound on Mission Boulevard, approaching Warm Springs Boulevard, while the pedestrian was crossing north across the westbound lanes of vehicle traffic on Mission Boulevard. The pedestrian was crossing the roadway mid-block between Mohave Drive and Warm Springs Boulevard. The front of the vehicle and the pedestrian then collided. The cause of the collision is still under investigation, but drug or alcohol impairment does not appear to be a factor. The driver of the vehicle was not injured, remained at the scene, and is fully cooperating with the investigation.
This is Fremont’s third fatal traffic collision in 2025.
