INCIDENT: Attempted Murder
LOCATION: 4000 block of Philadelphia St., Chino
SUSPECT(S): David Aaron Bong, 38-year-old, resident of Chino
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY: On Saturday, April 26, 2025, at approximately 8:00 P.M., deputies from the Chino Hills Police/Sheriff’s Station responded to a shooting at a parking lot in the 4000 block of Philadelphia Street in Chino. Deputies located a male adult victim inside a vehicle and suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to Pomona Valley Hospital for treatment. During the investigation, deputies obtained surveillance video and interviewed witnesses. Through the investigation, deputies identified the suspect as David Aaron Bong, a 38-year-old resident of Chino. Deputies obtained an arrest warrant for Bong for attempted murder.
On April 28, 2025, detectives and deputies from the Chino Hills Police/Sheriff's station located Bong in the 5500 block of Philadelphia Street in Chino and arrested him for attempted murder. Deputies executed a search warrant at Bong's residence and recovered the firearm used in the shooting. Bong was booked into West Valley Detention Center for attempted murder.
