On 04/25/2025, a 26-year-old Santa Paula resident, (S) Geovanny Molina Portillo was arrested for robbery, assault with a deadly weapon, and other offenses. At about 9:48 PM, patrol deputies from the Fillmore Station responded to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon that had just occurred in the 19000 block of Telegraph Road located in the unincorporated area east of Santa Paula. Arriving deputies spoke with reporting parties and confirmed an assault with a deadly weapon had occurred when the suspect intentionally used his vehicle to ram another vehicle containing two adults and two children. Over the course of the investigation, patrol personnel identified the suspect as Molina Portillo and learned he was on probation for domestic violence and had an active out-of-county warrant for his arrest. Furthermore, Molina Portillo was listed as the restrained party on a domestic violence restraining order and had robbed the listed protected party of her property. Molina Portillo fled the scene prior to law enforcement arrival and a manhunt ensued. Detectives with the Fillmore Bureau of Investigation and the West County Special Enforcement Unit responded to assist with the investigation and apprehension of Molina Portillo. On 04/25/2025, at about 1940 hours, detectives located Molina Portillo inside a vehicle being driven by an uninvolved party in the city of Santa Paula. An enforcement stop was conducted, and Molina Portillo was taken into custody. Molina Portillo was arrested for violations of Penal Code § 211 – [Robbery], four counts of Penal Code § 245(a)(1) – [Assault with a Deadly Weapon], Penal Code § 273.6(a) – [Disobeying Domestic Court Order], and the out-of-county warrant.
