The Green Bay Police Department is investigating the death of an adult female whose body was recovered from the East River near the 500 block of Eastman Avenue.
On Wednesday, April 23, 2025, police were dispatched just after 4:45 p.m. following the report of a passerby who found a body in the water. The body was removed from the water around 5:15 p.m.
Green Bay Metro Fire Department assisted police on scene.
The circumstances of the death are to be determined; however, we do not believe that the community is in any danger.
The identity of the person is not being released at this time.
