Los Angeles County Homicide investigators are continuing their investigation into a shooting death of a male adult in Whittier.
Deputies from Norwalk Sheriff's Station responded to a business located at the 13500 block of Telegraph Road, in Whittier, to investigate an attempt robbery where shots were reported to have been fired inside the location. The incident occurred on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at approximately 1:37 a.m.
Deputies from Norwalk Sheriff’s Station responded to the location and determined that armed male suspects entered the location when a shooting occurred. The suspects fled the location in a vehicle. Approximately twenty minutes after the shooting a male suffering from gunshots wounds was dropped off at a local hospital. That male victim, described only as a male Black, 32 years-old, was transported to a secondary hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. No additional information will be released on the identity of the male victim until the notification of next of kin.
Homicide Bureau investigators are on scene. Due to it being in the early stages of the investigation, it has not been determined if the gunshot victim was related to the attempted robbery.
