INCIDENT: Fatal E-Bike Accident
LOCATION: Rock Springs Drive/Oakland Way, Chino Hills
VICTIM(S): 14-year-old Male Juvenile
SUMMARY: On Saturday, April 5, 2025, at approximately 5:25 PM, deputies from the Chino Hills Police/Sheriff’s Station responded to the report of a bicycle accident involving two male juveniles. Upon arrival, deputies found members of the Chino Valley Fire Department and American Medical Response were already on the scene rendering first aid to the juveniles. One of the juveniles sustained serious injuries and was transported to Pomona Valley Medical Center for treatment while the second juvenile sustained minor injuries and was released at the scene. During the investigation, deputies discovered neither juvenile was wearing the appropriate helmets required for their age. Both juveniles were riding the same electric bicycle. Tragically, the juvenile who was transported to the hospital, succumbed to his injuries.
