Homicide investigators conducted a press conference and released a flyer to local law enforcement agencies looking for two people of interest from the murder that occurred on February 25, 2025, on the bike path of the Coyote Creek Riverbed.
After an extensive and on-going investigation, the people of interest were identified. On March 10, 2025, Officers from the Fullerton and Anaheim Police Departments went into a vehicle pursuit and detained a male and female Asian. The case is on-going and will be presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office for their consideration of filing charges.
The investigators believe this was an isolated incident and there is not a danger to people using the bike path.

NARRATIVE:
Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide investigators are responding to a shooting death investigation. The incident occurred on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at approximately 12:30 PM, on the Coyote Creek Riverbed area, west of Carmenita Road in the city of Cerritos.
Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel responded and pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.
