Why did I receive this warning?
· AB 413 became state law January 1, 2025- making it illegal to park within 20 feet (approximately 1 car length) of the vehicle approach side of any marked or unmarked crosswalk. This law applies regardless of if the curb is marked or not.
Is this a citation?
· No, this is a warning. LA County Sheriff’s Parking Enforcement will issue a warning for the first 4 months of 2025. Starting May 1, 2025, any vehicles parked within 20 feet of any marked or unmarked crosswalk will be subject to a $63 citation (subject to change).
