Community meeting on 38 Jackson St. project to begin at 7:30 p.m. on March 12
The community meeting on proposed changes to the 38 Jackson Street Redevelopment Agreement, originally scheduled for 7 p.m., will now be held at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 12, at Connors Elementary School, 201 Monroe St.
The developer team will present proposed changes to the ground floor including new proposed school space and a revised location for a supermarket, as well as answering questions from the public.
This meeting is a follow-up to the community meeting held at the same location on Jan. 14, where the proposed changes to the redevelopment agreement were first discussed.
The Southwest Hoboken Redevelopment Plan, initially adopted in May 2017, serves as the framework for this project. The redevelopment agreement between the City of Hoboken and 38 Jackson, LLC was executed in January 2022, with initial Planning Board approval granted in September 2022. An amended site plan approval was subsequently granted by the Planning Board in May 2023.
The project, which is currently under construction, is scheduled to be completed later this year.
