INCIDENT: P.C. 311.11(C)(1)- Possession of Child Pornography
LOCATION: 11900 block of Sierra Road, Victorville
SUSPECT(S): Matthew Marcus Alvarez, 23-year-old Resident of Victorville
SUMMARY: On Monday, October 21, 2024, the Victorville Police Department's Detective Bureau began an investigation into the possession and distribution of child pornography. Detectives identified Matthew Marcus Alvarez as the suspect.
On Wednesday, February 12, 2025, detectives served a search warrant at a residence in Victorville and contacted Alvarez. At the conclusion of the investigation, Alvarez was arrested for the possession and distribution of child sexual abuse material.
During the investigation, detectives collected evidence and learned Alvarez contacted several subjects though multiple messaging applications, leading them to believe there may be additional victims. Alvarez’s booking photograph is being released to aid in this investigation.
Matthew Marcus Alvarez was booked at High Desert Detention Center in Adelanto, for P.C. 311.11(C)(1)- Possession of Child Pornography.
