At approximately 11:00 A.M., on Saturday, January 25, 2025, Palmdale station deputies responded to a traffic collision at the intersection of Pearblossom Highway and 25th Street East Street in the city of Palmdale.
Based on their preliminary investigation, a 2022 grey Subaru Outback, driven by a 55-year-old female, entered the intersection of Pearblossom Highway to proceed northbound on Barrel Springs Road against a red traffic signal. A 2014 Toyota Camry driving eastbound on Pearblossom Highway entered the intersection on a green traffic signal.
The Toyota Camry broadsided the Subaru Outback in the intersection. A 6-year-old female passenger of the Toyota succumbed to her injuries at a local area hospital. Additional individuals involved sustained minor to serious injuries.
The investigation is ongoing and there is no additional information at this time.
