Donors Needed for our Blood Drive on 1/22. Wildfires in LA Have Forced Many Blood Drives to be Cancelled, Creating a Critical Shortage.
The devastating wildfires in Southern California have forced American Red Cross blood drives to be cancelled, impacting the ability to collect thousands of lifesaving blood, plasma and platelet donations. Donors are needed today!
To help address this critical need for blood donations, the Fremont Fire Department (FFD) is hosting a community blood drive in partnership with the Red Cross on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the FFD Administration (Large Classroom) located at 3300 Capitol Ave, Building A, Fremont, CA 94538.
We invite you to join us to help save lives--schedule a donation appointment or learn more about donating blood, plasma or platelets by visiting https://www.redcrossblood.org and entering Sponsor Code: FREMONTFD or call 1-800 RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767).
When you come to donate blood, platelets or plasma with the American Red Cross through January 26th, you'll automatically be entered for a chance to win a getaway to SuperBowl LIX.
January is National Blood Donor Month. Every two seconds in America, someone needs blood. Your donation can help save lives in our community and beyond.
