INCIDENT: FATAL TRAFFIC COLLISION
LOCATION: US Highway 395/ Auburn Ave, Adelanto
SUMMARY: On Thursday, October 31, 2024, at 1:38 p.m., deputies responded to a traffic collision on US Highway 395, at the intersection of Auburn Avenue, in Adelanto.
Through the investigation, deputies learned the driver of a white Chevrolet Blazer merged into the southbound lanes of US Highway 395, side-swiping a blue Volkswagen Golf who was traveling southbound on US Highway 395. Both vehicles crossed into the northbound lanes. The Chevrolet Blazer collided head on with a semi-truck.
The driver of the Chevrolet Blazer was pronounced deceased at the scene. The identity of the driver is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. Occupants of the other vehicles were not injured.
