VICTIM(s): Male, Child
UNIT: Homicide Bureau – Lieutenant Steven De Jong
NARRATIVE:
Lancaster Sheriff's Station deputies responded to the 44000 block of Dahlia Street in regard to a gunshot victim call. Upon their arrival, they located a male child inside of the location suffering from a gunshot wound. Deputies rendered aid until the arrival of the Los Angeles County Fire Department. The child tragically died from his injuries at the location.
Investigators learned the child did not reside at the location; he was visiting a friend at the location. Family members of the child have been notified.
Investigators still need to conduct several interviews. A firearm was recovered from the scene. No arrests were made.
