Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide Investigators are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a female adult in La Puente. The incident occurred on Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at approximately 11:43 p.m.
Industry Sheriff's Station deputies responded to the 900 block of Fickewirth Avenue in the city of La Puente regarding a report of a gunshot victim at the location. Upon arrival, deputies located a female in the front yard of a residence suffering from a gunshot wound. Deputies immediately rendered aid to the female. Fire Department personnel responded and transported the female to a local hospital. The female was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
