On Thursday, October 3, 2024, at approximately 5:07 p.m., deputies from the Compton Station responded to a gunshot victim call for service near the intersection of Oleander Avenue and Compton Boulevard, in the city of Compton.
When the deputies arrived on scene, they observed a Hispanic male adult nearby suffering from gunshot wounds to the upper torso. Compton Fire Department personnel responded and transported the victim to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
This investigation is on-going and there is no additional information available at this time.
