Shots Fired
On 09-29-2024 at 1:07am officers responded to the 1300blk of Hamilton Ave. for a disturbance where shots were fired. Several callers reported two males had been arguing and one of them had discharged a firearm.
The armed male ran into the woods prior to officer arrival. Several officers searched the wooded area and located the male. He was cooperative with officers and taken into custody.
Evidence was collected at the scene, and the firearm used was recovered.
The armed male was identified as Nicholas E. Russell.
He was arrested, and held, at the Rock County Jail pending his initial court appearance.
This was an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public.
