INCIDENT: Lethal Force Encounter (LFE)
LOCATION: 15600 Block of Kadota Place, Victorville
SUSPECT(S): Lavon Green, 36-years-old, Resident of Victorville
SUMMARY:
On Saturday, September 7, 2024, deputies from the Victorville Station responded to a residence in the 15600 block of Kadota Place, for a domestic disturbance. When deputies arrived, they found the female victim outside the residence who had been assaulted by the suspect, Lavon Green.
Deputies established communication with Green through the front door, but Green refused to exit the home. Deputies attempted to de-escalate the incident for several minutes before Green retreated further into the residence. Green remained barricaded and later appeared at a window of the residence armed with a handgun and an LFE occurred. Deputies entered the residence and found Green deceased. No deputies were injured during the incident.
The Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division also responded and assumed the investigation.
