SUSPECT(S): Caleb Armstead, 23-year-old resident of Loma Linda
Ryan McClelland, 33-year-old resident of Loma Linda

SUMMARY: On Sunday, August 25, 2024, at approximately 4:30 a.m., Deputy A. Fonzi from the Central Station conducted extra patrol in the Oasis Apartments at 25590 Prospect Avenue, in the city of Loma Linda. Deputy Fonzi observed two subjects wearing dark, hooded clothing and face coverings walk through the complex, carrying a large amount of property. Deputy Fonzi contacted the subjects, Caleb Armstead and Ryan McClelland, and during the investigation found a concealed fixed-blade knife in Armstead's front waistband and a bag of suspected methamphetamine in McClelland's sock.
Caleb Armstead was arrested and booked at the Central Detention Center for violation of California Penal Code 21310, possession of a concealed dirk or dagger. Ryan Mcclelland was arrested and booked at the Central Detention Center for violation of California Health and Safety Code 11377(a), possession of a controlled substance, and an outstanding warrant.
