LASD Homicide Announce $20k Reward for Information leading to those responsible for the murder of Peter Chounthala.
Who: Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau, Lieutenant Patricia Thomas, LASD Homicide Bureau Detective Robert McGaughey, LASD Homicide Bureau Detective Steve Blagg, LASD Lakewood Station Sergeant Matthey Ferguson, Field Deputy Lauren Yokomizo from the Board of Supervisor office Jancie Hahn, Bellflower Mayor Dan Koops, and family members of the victim.
What: LASD Homicide Bureau Detectives will ask for the public’s assistance in obtaining additional information to identify and locate the suspect(s) responsible for the murder of victim Peter Chounthala. The murder happened in the city of Bellflower near the intersection of Virginia Avenue and Artesia Boulevard. The victim was assaulted left lying in the road and subsequently struck by a passing vehicle.
A reward of $20,000 has been authorized by the Board of Supervisors, leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspects.
