Los Angeles County Homicide investigators are continuing their investigation into the death of a female adult at the location.
Lancaster Sheriff's Station deputies responded to the 42900 block of 59th Street West in the city of Quartz Hill regarding an assault with a deadly weapon at the location.
When deputies arrived on scene, they located two unconscious females at the location. Deputies immediately rendered aid to the two females. Fire Department personnel responded and transported the females to a local hospital where one of them was pronounced deceased. The other female was treated and released. A male was detained leaving the scene.
Homicide Investigators are on scene conducting the homicide investigation. Investigators learned there was a physical fight between three individuals at the location. The male had assaulted the two females. The male has been arrested for the homicide and assault of the two females. There was only one suspect in this assault and there is no concern for the public's safety. There’s no additional information available at this time.
