*Press Conference* Sheriff Robert G. Luna to Discuss the Courage of LASD Members and K9 Kjeld "Kid" During a High-Stress Incident
Who: Los Angeles County Sheriff Robert G. Luna, Special Enforcement Bureau, K9 Handler Deputy Stephen E. Williams, and K9 Kjeld
What: Sheriff Luna will recognize the bravery and courage shown by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Special Enforcement Bureau (SEB) Deputies for their efforts on the evening of April 17th. SEB personnel including K9 handler Deputy Williams and his K9 companion Kjeld “Kid” responded to assist Compton Sheriff’s Station Deputies in searching for an assault with a deadly weapon suspect.
K9 Kjeld’s heroic actions are a clear example of his vital role in law enforcement during high-risk incidents. There is no doubt the actions of K9 Kjeld saved the lives of both deputies and the suspect in this incident.
