RAIN WILL CHANGE TO SNOW AND CONTINUE INTO SATURDAY MORNING. ***LOW WATER CROSSINGS IN THE COUNTY ARE CLOSED***

WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE LOUISVILLE KY

RAIN WILL CHANGE TO SNOW THIS EVENING AND CONTINUE TONIGHT INTO SATURDAY MORNING.

COLDER AIR WILL BEGIN TO FILTER INTO SOUTH CENTRAL KENTUCKY TONIGHT WHICH WILL CHANGE THE RAIN TO SNOW. THE SNOW WILL END BY MID DAY SATURDAY AS DRIER AIR BEGINS TO FILTER INTO THE REGION. ACROSS SOUTH CENTRAL KENTUCKY 1 TO 2 INCHES OF SNOW WILL BE POSSIBLE.

* TIMING: THE SNOW WILL BEGIN TO IMPACT SOUTHCENTRAL KENTUCKY ROADS BY MIDNIGHT.

* MAIN IMPACT: SNOW WILL CAUSE ROADS TO BECOME SLICK AND
HAZARDOUS.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW WILL CAUSE PRIMARILY TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR SNOW COVERED ROADS AND LIMITED VISIBILITIES...AND USE CAUTION WHILE DRIVING.

NOTE TO SIMPSON COUNTY EMERGENCY RESPONDERS: ALL LOW WATER CROSSINGS IN THE COUNTY ARE CLOSED AT THIS TIME DUE TO HIGH WATER.
