The suspect was located and taken into custody.

NARRATIVE:
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Special Enforcement Bureau (SEB) personnel responded to assist Lakewood Station with a barricaded suspect. The incident was reported Monday, February 19, 2024, at approximately 7:50 p.m., on the 2700 Block of Harvey Way, in Lakewood. SEB personnel will assume tactical command and Crisis Negotiation Team (CNT) is attempting to make contact with the suspect to bring this to a peaceful conclusion.
The surrounding homes have been evacuated for the safety of the residents.
