Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide investigators are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a male adult in the city of Huntington Park.
On Monday, February 12, 2024, at approximately 2:37 a.m., a Huntington Park Police Officer was driving southbound on the 6300 block of Santa Fe Avenue, in his marked patrol vehicle, when he observed a person lying in the street near the west curb.
The officer stopped his vehicle to check on the person’s welfare and discovered a Hispanic male adult suffering from gunshot wound(s) to the upper torso. Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel responded and pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
This investigation is on-going and there is no additional information available at this time.
