The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office Underwater Search and Rescue Team is seeking qualified SCUBA divers who are skilled and reliable and willing to volunteer their time, resources, and efforts in a commitment to their community. Prospective candidates must attend the orientation session for the Underwater Academy on Friday evening, March 8th, at 7:00 PM, at the Ventura County Criminal Justice Training Center, located at 106 Durley Avenue, on the grounds of the Camarillo Airport. Water evaluation will be on March 10th, at 8:00 AM. To be eligible for team membership, candidates must demonstrate a mastery of advanced diving skills by successfully completing the training program. Classes are held on select Friday evenings and Sunday mornings, from March 8th through August 25th, 2024. Candidates must:
