NARRATIVE:
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Investigators are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of a person in the city of Palmdale.
Deputies from Palmdale Sheriff’s Station responded to the 37800 block of Robina Avenue in the city of Palmdale regarding a vehicle fire call for service.
The incident occurred on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at approximately 2:20 AM.
When deputies arrived, they observed a vehicle on fire. Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel responded and extinguished the fire.
A person was observed inside the vehicle and was subsequently pronounced deceased by Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics.
Arson investigators are on scene conducting a fire investigation and Homicide investigators are conducting a death investigation.
The identity and cause of death will be determined by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner.
The investigation is ongoing, and currently, there is no additional information available.
