Costco Robbery Suspects Arrested #CityofIndustry

Detectives from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Major Crimes Bureau learned of a violent purse snatch robbery at the Costco parking lot in the city of Industry. During the robbery, the victim attempted to recover her purse and was punched repeatedly in the face while being dragged by the suspect’s getaway vehicle. As a result of the suspects’ actions, the victim suffered facial and head trauma resulting in serious, life-threatening injuries. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment. After extensive investigation, detectives were able to positively identify David Morrison and his brother Andrew Morrison as the suspects in the robbery.
On December 28, 2023, members from the Major Crimes Bureau Burglary Robbery Task Force served a location search warrant in the city of Diamond Bar. During the search warrant David and Andrew were both located and arrested for the robbery. A search of the location resulted in the seizure of crucial evidence, including personal property belonging to the victim. Both suspects were transported to Industry Sheriff’s Station where they were booked for robbery and held on $500,000 bail, with a next court date of January 2, 2024, at the West Covina Courthouse.
The investigation is ongoing to determine if these suspects are related to other robberies that have recently occurred in the San Gabriel Valley area. Residents and business owners are reminded to secure their properties, be aware of suspicious and unusual persons or vehicles, and to alert their local law enforcement immediately if suspicious activity is observed.
