Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Investigators are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a male White adult.
Deputies from Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Station responded to the 25700 block of Vista Fairways Drive in Santa Clarita regarding a shots fired call.
The incident occurred on Sunday, December 31, 2023, at approximately 4:26 AM.
As deputies responded to the location, they were updated that a vehicle was in the middle of the roadway. Upon deputies’ arrival, they located the vehicle and discovered the victim in the driver’s seat, unresponsive and suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
LA County Fire Department responded to the location and transported the victim to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
There is no suspect in custody and no suspect information available.
The investigation is ongoing, and currently, there is no additional information available at this time.
