Man Attacked Near Mountain View and Juanita Street in Loma Linda; Suspect Arrested for Attempted Murder

SUSPECT(S): Kendi Narmer Pakeybey, 56-years-old, Transient
VICTIM(S): Anthony Pasillas Aldana, 57-years-old, Transient
SUMMARY: On Monday, December 25, 2023, at approximately 6:14 p.m., deputies from Central Station and medical personnel responded to a business in the 25700 block of Barton Road, for a subject bleeding from the head. Deputies contacted the victim, identified as Anthony Pasillas Aldana. Aldana was assaulted with an unknown weapon in a field near the intersection of Mountain View Avenue and Juanita Street and went to the business seeking assistance. Deputies responded to the area and located the crime scene, along with evidence. Deputies contacted a subject at the location, later identified as Kendi Pakeybey.
After the investigation, Pakeybey was identified as the suspect who assaulted Aldana. Pakeybey was arrested for attempted murder. Pakeybey was booked into the Central Detention Center and is currently being held in leiu of $1,000,000 bail. Aldana was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
