Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Investigators are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a male Black adult.
Officers from the Hawthorne Police Department responded to the 13400 block of Kornblum Avenue, Hawthorne, regarding a call of shots fired at the location.
When officers arrived, they found two male Black adults suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel responded and pronounced one of the victims dead at the scene. The second victim was transported to a local hospital where he was treated for his apparent gunshot wound. He was listed in stable condition.
A suspect has not been identified and no arrests have been made at this time.
The investigation is ongoing, and currently there is no additional information.
