*UPD*#LASD Homicide Bureau Responding to a Shooting Death Investigation, 1200 blk of Atlantic Bl, #EastLA
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Investigators are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a male adult.
Deputies from East Los Angeles Sheriff’s Station responded to the 1200 block of Atlantic Avenue in East Los Angeles regarding a gunshot victim call.
The incident occurred on Wednesday December 6, 2023 at approximately 5:41 PM.
When deputies arrived they found the victim, a Hispanic male, 20-25 years of age, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds to the upper torso. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he subsequently was pronounced deceased.
Investigators learned that the victim was inside a local barbershop when the suspect entered the location and began shooting at him. The suspect along with another individual were last seen running south on Atlantic Avenue and out of view.
The investigation is ongoing, and currently there is no additional information.
