On Thursday, November 30, 2023, at approximately 9:12 p.m., officers from the South Gate Police Department responded to a gunshots heard/person down call for service in the 3100 block of Wisconsin Avenue.
When the officers arrived on scene, they discovered a juvenile male suffering from gunshot wounds to the torso. Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel responded and transported the victim to a local hospital. The victim was pronounced dead shortly after.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide investigators responded to the scene and assumed control of the investigation. During their investigation, they identified a juvenile male as the subject involved in this incident.
On December 5, 2023, the subject was detained and booked at South Gate Police Department.
On December 6, 2023, the facts of the case were presented to Compton Court. The subject was charged with murder.
