INCIDENT: FATAL TRAFFIC COLLISON
LOCATION: US Hwy 395/ Air Expressway Blvd., Adelanto
SUMMARY:
On Friday, October 13, 2023, at approximately 8:19pm, San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Dispatch received a call of a traffic collision on US Hwy 395, south of Air Expressway Blvd.
Deputy Munar was the first deputy to arrive and found three vehicles were involved. A 2004 Chevrolet Malibu was on fire and two occupants were trapped inside. Deputy Munar was able to pull the passenger out through the passenger side window. The passenger was flown to a local hospital in critical condition. Deputy Sulikhanyan, and several citizens, pulled the driver of a 2014 Chevrolet Malibu out of the vehicle.
The drivers of both vehicles succumbed to their injuries at the scene. The driver of a 2018 Nissan Rogue was not injured. The Major Accident Investigation Team Deputies (MAIT) J. Guzman and L. Torres are conducting the investigation. US Hwy 395 was shut down for several hours. No additional information is available at the time of this release.
