Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Investigators are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a male adult.
Deputies from Compton Sheriff’s Station responded to the 1000 block of South Willowbrook Avenue in the city of Compton regarding a person down call for service.
The incident occurred on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at approximately 3:09 AM.
When deputies arrived, they discovered the victim, a Hispanic male, 30-40 years of age, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to his upper torso. The victim was subsequently pronounced dead at the scene.
There is no additional suspect or suspect vehicle information at this time.
The investigation is ongoing, and currently, there is no additional information available.
