Brightwood Park Closed Due to Sightings of Aggressive Coyote Behavior 
Out of an abundance of caution, Brightwood Park is closed until further notice due to sightings of aggressive coyote behavior. The Westfield Police Department and the Westfield Regional Health Department are invesigating the situation, and no injuries have occurred. In addition, the NJ Department of Environmental Protection as well as The Friends of Brightwood Park have been informed of the park's closure.
Residents are advised to report any coyote sighting to the WPD so that the information can be included in their investigation. We will continue to keep the community apprised of any updates.
