Anonymous Tip Leads to the Arrest of a Suspect who was Selling Fentanyl

HS 11370.1- Possession of Narcotics while Armed with a Firearm
LOCATION: 34500 Block of Yucaipa Blvd.
SUSPECT(S): Lawrence Braggs, 44-year-old, Yucaipa Resident
VICTIM(S): State of California
SUMMARY: Deputies received an anonymous tip regarding a male subject, identified as Lawrence Braggs, who was selling fentanyl at the BAR & GRILL business. Braggs was observed going to his vehicle in the parking lot to retrieve the fentanyl.
Deputy Herrera responded to the location, identified the vehicle and set up surveillance. The registration for the Nissan Rouge was expired, and a traffic enforcement stop was conducted.
Lawrence Braggs was contacted and found to have active warrants, a suspended driver’s license, and the vehicle registration had expired in 2021. A search of his person and vehicle yielded two bags of fentanyl, packaging, and a large amount of U.S. currency.
Deputy Herrera authored a search warrant for Braggs' residence in the city of Yucaipa. During the service of the search warrant, a handgun, shotgun, ammunition, additional fentanyl, psilocybin mushrooms, packaging, scales, and other currency was located. Braggs was booked at Central Detention Center where he remains in custody.
